Iowa State is having a hard time with the targeting rule against Washington State in the Alamo Bowl, and head coach Matt Campbell is losing his mind.

Linebacker Willie Harvey had already been ejected for a late, dirty helmet-to-helmet hit against Gardner Minshew (watch here). Then, just a short while later, his teammate Eyioma Uwazurike struck Minshew on the side of the helmet with the crown of his own helmet. He, too, was ejected after review for targeting.

Campbell well and truly lost his cool for a moment, earning an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for berating the officials.

Yeah, he wasn’t a happy camper.

Just a few plays later, Washington State scored its third touchdown of the game when Minshew hit Dezmon Patmon for his second touchdown pass, and third touchdown overall, in this game.
