The final College Football Playoff Rankings were revealed on Sunday morning, and Oklahoma edged Georgia for the No. 4 spot to get in.

This was absolutely the right call, despite many opinions to the contrary.
Oklahoma lost just one game all year — a three-point loss to Texas that the Sooners avenged big time on Saturday for the Big 12 title.
Meanwhile, Georgia got taken behind the woodshed by LSU midway through the season and let Jalen Hurts play comeback hero on Saturday for the SEC title.
There were some mixed reactions to this decision on Twitter, which is hardly surprising.
4. Oklahoma. Predictable. Safe. Wrong pick.

Oklahoma Alabama is going to be incredible

Ultimately, the #CFBPlayoff chose safely in favor of the fewest number of follow-up questions in Oklahoma. Can't say I blame them or, given the circumstances, would have chose differently. https://t.co/4Ec4tOy8DZ

Worst committee picks since the 4 team playoff started. WE NEED THE BEST 4 leaving Georgia and Ohio State out was a mistake.

Man, Georgia lost by 7 to the #1 ranked team. That’s a tough call. I think they are better than OU, but it’s kinda the game if you lose you’re out.

Guaranteed Oklahoma gets ran off the field. https://t.co/u9ah0op22w

My only thought is the committee would've objectively failed by jumping Ohio State over Oklahoma. There is zero reason that Oklahoma, after five straight higher poll slots, should've dropped after playing a higher-ranked team. So, good there.

Then, of course, there was this happy group.

The College Football Playoff should be a blast. Can the Sooners possibly hang with Alabama? We cannot wait to find out.
