Stan Van Gundy trolls Suns owner over relocation threat

Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver just recently threatened to move his franchise from the desert to Las Vegas or Seattle should local leaders refuse a plan to upgrade Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix.

Given the Suns’ questionable relationship with the local government, this isn’t that surprising. Though, it does comes with Phoenix boasting a league-worst 4-24 record on the season.

Touching on the Suns’ threat to relocate, former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy absolutely blasted the team’s on-court performance. It’s pretty darn epic.

“The question isn’t whether Las Vegas or Seattle are realistic options for Robert Sarver to move the Suns,” Van Gundy said. “The question is when is Robert Sarver going to bring an NBA team to Phoenix.”

Ouch. That just has to burn the Suns in every way.

One might think Van Gundy is somehow bitter at the Suns and their brass. But that’s in no way the case. He has no history with the organization. He’s just telling it like it is.
