Jabrill Peppers has interesting take on facing Hue Jackson

In somewhat shocking fashion, the Cleveland Browns (6-7-1) head into Week 16 with an outside shot at earning a playoff spot. The team has won four out of five and is coming off a hard-fought victory over the Broncos in Denver.

While a lot will have to work out in their favor for the Browns to earn a spot in the postseason, their Week 16 game against the hapless Cincinnati Bengals should provide yet another opportunity for a win.

It comes against former Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who is now an assistant on the Bengals’ staff. It also comes after Cleveland defeated Cincinnati, 35-20, back in Week 12.

In talking about this upcoming game, Browns safety Jabrill Peppers did not hold back. More specifically, he went right after Mr. Jackson.

“He’s (Jackson) the ultimate competitor. I knew he wasn’t going to stay away from the game long. I know how it looked, but he’s the ultimate competitor,” Peppers said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I have no ill will towards him. I’m thankful for everything he taught me. I’m thankful that he brought me here. But, still looking forward to kicking his a** again.”

Tell us how you really feel, Jabrill. To say that there’s no love lost between Jackson and his former team would be an understatement. Just ask rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield.

With a game coming up against Baltimore to close out the season, Cleveland is obviously in must-win mode. The added incentive of taking on Hue Jackson won’t hurt matters here. That’s for sure.
