During the third quarter as Appalachian State poured it on against Middle Tennessee, quarterback Zac Thomas took a nasty, dirty hit and had to exit the game.
After he handed off to Cameron Peoples, Thomas was casually jogging the opposite direction when a Middle Tennessee defensive end came up and leveled him with a vicious shot.
App State QB Zac Thomas was helped off the field and looked to be in distress after this absolutely dirty hit. No need for this at all.

Really, this is totally uncalled for and likely was the result of some frustration due to Middle Tennessee’s inability to stop Thomas and Co. from the second quarter on.
