WATCH: This Carson Wentz arm punt interception was ugly

If the Philadelphia Eagles want any chance of winning on the road against the New Orleans Saints, they can’t commit dumb turnovers. That’s exactly what quarterback Carson Wentz did on an atrocious interception.

Wentz went for the deep ball late in the first quarter and it didn’t come close to landing in Nelson Agholor’s arms. Instead, cornerback Marshon Lattimore made an outstanding catch in the air to pull down the interception.

Philadelphia already trailed 10-0 with little momentum to speak of offensively. Wentz’s costly interception just made the situation even worse against New Orleans.

Once considered one of the best teams in the NFL, it’s quite clear the Eagles have crashed and burned to the ground.
