Just when it seemed like Maryland was going to claw its way back into the game against Michigan State on Saturday, everything fell apart.
Maryland appeared to have a pick-six in hand. But the Terps then fumbled away that opportunity, allowing the Spartans to recover the ball in their own end zone for a touchback.
On the next play, Connor Heyward made them pay in a major way, going up the gut on an 80-yard touchdown run.

The Terps are having an awful game. In addition to the off-field drama surrounding disgraced former head coach DJ Durkin, a player was ejected on Saturday for throwing a punch at a Michigan State opponent.
Now it’s 24-3 in favor of the Spartans, and the Terrapins are unraveling.
