Richard Sherman on Russell Wilson: We don’t really have a relationship

Mandatory Credit: Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

This Week 13 game for San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman takes him back to former home digs at CenturyLink Field to square off with the Seattle Seahawks.

Defending a red hot Russell Wilson might seem like somewhat of a challenging matchup for Sherman. But the All-Pro cornerback does not seem at all worried.

Well said. Every now and then Wilson can crank out quite the stinker of a game. But the veteran quarterback has not thrown a pick in his last three contests. To date, Wilson has managed only five interceptions on the season. Sherman would surely enjoy adding to the negative column against his former teammate.

As for those who view this upcoming game as awkward for Sherman, the corner claims he has no current relationship with Wilson.

This matchup pitting Sherman up against the likes of Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett makes for one of the more interesting stories to follow in NFL Week 13.

Just don’t expect Sherman and Wilson to go out for brews after the game ends.
