Patrick Mahomes signs endorsement deal with Hunt’s

Sportsnaut First

Less than a month after Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes caused massive controversy and drew heavy criticism, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has now made a shocking endorsement decision.

The 23-year-old native of Texas, who revealed he puts ketchup on macaroni and cheese along with steak, turned down a potentially lucrative endorsement offer from Heinz and will instead sign with Hunt’s Ketchup.

Mahomes turned down a chance at a lifetime supply of free ketchup if he threw 57 touchdowns this year to match Heinz 57. He chose to go with Hunt’s, a California company that coincidentally shares a name with Kareem Hunt.

It’s not known if this is one of the reasons Mahomes chose Hunt’s over Heinz. Perhaps Mahomes didn’t want to partner up with Heinz because the Pittsburgh Steelers play at Heinz Field.

Either way, Mahomes’ decision will certainly draw mixed reactions once again. He went away from the most popular and beloved ketchup, revealing another layer to his controversial food habits. This certainly won’t do him any favors with those who already questioned his decision-making for putting ketchup on steak.
