NFL fines Kevin Byard $10K for stomping on Cowboys star

Kevin Byard grabbed a moment in the spotlight when he stomped on the Dallas Cowboys’ star at midfield, but the action has come with a price.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans safety has been fined $10,026 for his post-interception celebration.

Byard picked off a pass in the end zone, then sprinted to midfield after the play was over. He threw up his arms as once Terrell Owens did in Dallas, also dancing on the logo.

And Titans coach Mike Vrabel wasn’t happy about it.

The first-year boss slammed Byard’s actions, saying he wants the Titans to celebrate with their own teammates and coaches.

Given that it was a game-changing interception during a Tennessee win, though, Byard probably won’t mind paying the fine.
