Cordarrelle Patterson explains why he was grabbing opponents’ junk

New England Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson found himself in a bit of a pickle Sunday against the New York Jets.

It happened on a play in which Jets defensive lineman Henry Anderson tackled Patterson on a rush attempt. What followed was not good for anyone involved, primarily Patterson and Anderson.

You don’t need to be an immature child to laugh at Patterson getting “sacked” by Anderson and responding in kind.

But for the wide receiver, he was not having any of it.

“I’m a grown man. I don’t need no one’s a** and di**and balls in my face,” Patterson said after the game, via Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated.

That’s a statement a lot of men out there can agree with. We can also agree that Patterson’s reaction probably wasn’t the most mature, either.
