Oklahoma City Thunder forward Andre Roberson has been out with a knee injury since January of last season, and another injury will keep him out even longer.

The Thunder announced on Friday that Roberson suffered “an avulsion frature in his left leg” and will be reevaluated in six weeks.

This is obviously just a brutal development for Roberson, who’s been working hard to come back from a setback to his knee injury.

The Thunder have been able to plug away without Roberson in the lineup, coming into Friday with a 13-7 record and the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. However, given his abilities as a perimeter defender and timely scorer, getting him back in time for the playoff push would be ideal.
