WATCH: Nets’ Caris LeVert stuns the Knicks with game-winner

The Brooklyn Nets are relying on pretty big things from third-year forward Caris LeVert after he averaged a career-high 12.1 points per game last season.

If LeVert’s first game of the season was any indication, the Nets might be in good hands. He dropped 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting in a narrow loss to the Detroit Pistons.

If his second game is any indication, the Nets might have a really good one to build around moving forward. With his team nodded up 105 against the cross-city rival New York Knicks on Friday night, LeVert came through big time.

Driving on Tim Hardaway Jr., the former Michigan standout completed tough layup with one second left to give Brooklyn the lead in what was an eventual game winner.

This represented Brooklyn’s first win of the season and the Knicks’ first loss. All said, LeVert put up 28 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He’s certainly someone to watch this season.
