Raiders place Marshawn Lynch on injured reserve

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch

The Oakland Raiders will be without running back Marshawn Lynch for the remainder of the 2018 season after placing him on injured reserve Monday.

Lynch injured his groin recently and was thought to be out for at least a month.

In six games this year, Lynch tallied 460 total yards and three touchdowns while averaging 4.4 yards per touch.

This news comes just hours after the Raiders traded receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2019 first-round pick.

At 1-5, it’s safe to say Oakland is going to finish the year with one of the worst records in 2018, though the bonus is the team will be loaded with high first-round picks to stock up and rebuild.
