The Denver Broncos have released punter Marquette King after placing him on injured reserve due to an abductor injury.

King will receive an injury settlement just months after inking a three-year deal worth up to $6 million, with $2 million guaranteed.

During his short tenure with Denver, King got into it with local reporters and rubbed head coach Vance Joseph the wrong way.

This season, he averaged 44.1 yards per punt on 20 attempts, dropping just seven inside the 20-yard line, before being injured.
