Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks miss practice for Rams with concussions

The 5-0 Los Angeles Rams were without their two leading receivers during Wednesday’s practice. Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks were both sidelined with concussions sustained in Week 5’s win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Cooks leads Los Angeles with 452 receiving yards on the season. Kupp, meanwhile, leads the 30 receptions and five touchdowns. His 438 receiving yards trail only Cooks for the team lead. Cooks is sixth in the league in receiving yards while Kupp is eighth.

Los Angeles has the No. 1 passing attack in the league by a wide margin. The Rams have passed for more than 468 yards a game. The next closest team (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) is just shy of 433 per game.

If either Kupp or Cooks are forced to miss Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, Robert Woods figures to be a frequent target of Jared Goff. He’s caught 29 passes for 415 yards on the year.

Excluding Todd Gurley (who has 230 receiving yards on the season), no other Los Angeles player has more than 64 receiving yards on the season.
