Alabama fans troll LSU for a good cause

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the LSU Tigers in a pivotal Week 10 matchup, but the rivalry might bring a bit of good for Hurricane Michael relief.

Billboards have gone up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, that encourage LSU fans to donate “half a Benjamin” before Tua Tagovailoa and the Alabama offense drop 50 points on the Tigers this weekend.

Stadium’s Brett McMurphy pointed out the A-plus trolling.

Of course, since rivalries are never completely cordial, message boards have criticized Alabama fans for wasting the money needed to put up the billboard.

That’s said as if it doesn’t mean LSU supporters did the same while trying to #FreeDevinWhite, the superstar linebacker who will be suspended for the first half due to a targeting penalty. But we digress.

Hopefully, LSU fans with the ability will briefly put aside the rivalry aside and offer their support for the much-needed relief — and Alabama fans join them, too.

Some things are bigger than football.
