Adam Jones’ airport attacker gets one year in jail

When news broke that Denver Broncos cornerback Adam Jones was involved in an incident at an airport earlier this year, most figured it was Pacman just getting in trouble again.

But as information leaked out about what happened at Atlanta International Airport in July, it became clear that Jones was in fact the victim.

A man who worked at the terminal, Frank Ragin, attacked Jones before the troubled veteran knocked him completely out. Ragin was arrested on the spot and charged with two counts of battery, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of terroristic threats.

According to TMZ Sports, Ragin has now been sentenced to one year in jail. He pled guilty to one count of battery while having the other three charges dropped.

In a way, this vindicates Jones in a big way. The 14-year veteran has been in trouble with the law multiple times. Fortunately, he was able to sign with the Broncos shortly after news of this incident broke.

Obviously, being seen as the victim played a role in him latching on with an NFL team.
