WATCH: Ryan Fitzpatrick, DeSean Jackson open up game with 75-yard TD

Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver DeSean Jackson

The defending champion Philadelphia Eagles are finding out first hand what the New Orleans Saints learned last week. Ryan Fitzpatrick is pure magic.

On the very first play to open up Sunday’s game, Fitzpatrick connected with DeSean Jackson on a 75-yard touchdown.

As you can see, Jackson absolutely burnt Jalen Mills on this play. It’s just a continuation of what we saw from the two in a 48-40 road win against the defending NFC South champion Saints last week. That game saw Fitzpatrick throw for north of 400 yards with four touchdowns in a stirring performance.

If the early part of Sunday’s game is any indication, Philadelphia’s defense might be in for a long day here.

On a related note, Jackson’s catch-and-score tied Jerry Rice for the most 60-plus yard plays in NFL history. Whew.
