Terrell Suggs on NFL protecting QBs: ‘I was told to be political’

The NFL is constantly making rule changes when it comes to proper and safer ways for players to tackle their opponents. So, leave it to Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs to get cute and chime in with this sarcastic comment when he was asked about where he can legally hit a quarterback.

Obviously, Suggs is referring to the league toughening up on how players can legally go in for a tackle. Suggs is one of the toughest defenders in the business and we can probably conclude that he is not a fan of partaking in more gentle tackling techniques.

The 35-year-old linebacker has racked up a total of 822 combined tackles and 126.5 quarterback sacks throughout his 16-year career. Now Suggs must abide by the league’s new rules or risk getting ejected from games altogether.

We will see how gentle he is next with Denver Broncos quarterback Case Keenum and his offense this week.
