While the Kansas City Royals experienced one of the worst years in their history in 2018, manager Ned Yost will be back for the 2019 season.
Prior to Sunday’s season finale, it was announced that Yost and the Royals had agreed on a one-year deal for 2019.

Yost has been Kansas City’s skipper since 2010. His tenure with the Royals has certainly seen some success. Kansas City ended a 29-year playoff drought in 2014, advancing all the way to the World Series. The Royals returned to the World Series in 2015, winning a championship.
The more recent seasons have been more challenging, tough. Kansas City went 81-81 in 2016, 80-82 in 2017, and entered 2018’s season finale at 58-103.
