Eagles reportedly preparing to workout former Pro Bowler Jeremy Maclin

The news of Mike Wallace’s potential season-ending injury has left the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles in scramble mode. Earlier on Tuesday, Philadelphia worked out former second-round pick Jordan Matthews.

It now looks like the team is going back to the well once again. According to John Clark of NBC Philadelphia, the Eagles are preparing a workout for former Pro Bowler Jeremy Maclin. It just remains to be seen when that might happen.

Maclin, 30, was an original first-round pick of the Eagles back in 2009. He spent six seasons with the team, earning a Pro Bowl appearance in his final year with the squad. He last played with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017, recording 40 receptions for 440 yards and three touchdowns.

With Alshon Jeffrey still sidelined to injury, Nelson Agholor is their most-proven healthy receiver. Outside of that, Kamar Aiken and Shelton Gibson are the only other active receivers currently on Philadelphia’s roster. Ouch.
