WATCH: Mike Evans brilliantly burns Malcolm Butler during joint practice

Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been among the most productive at his position since entering the league back in 2014. During that span, he’s put up four consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns and a total of 32 touchdowns. Evans, 24, was paid handsomely for this production during the offseason.

On the other hand, former New England Patriots Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler signed a five-year, $61.25 million deal with the Tennessee Titans in free agency back in March. The hope in Nashville is that he’ll become the team’s No. 1 corner.

With the Buccaneers and Titans taking part in joint practices ahead of their preseason tilt against one another this week, Evans and butler matched up in one-on-one drills.

Unfortunately for the high-priced Titans cornerback, he was made a mockery of by Evans in every possible way.

We understand one-on-one drills tend to favor the offensive player. Even then, Evans left Butler grabbing for his ankles out of the break. It was really a sight to behold.

Sure we’re not going to read too much into this from Butler’s perspective. We will, however, conclude that Evans is 100 percent and ready to have a stellar fifth season in the NFL. Whew.
