Under the bright lights at Yankee Stadium, perhaps Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Matt Duffy wanted to make a highlight play.
In the fifth inning, Duffy sprinted after a ball towards the stands with hopes of making a splash. Instead, the 27-year-old had a vicious collision with the rolled-up tarp and suffered quite the blow as a result.

Duffy remained motionless for a few seconds before he was eventually able to get up and walk off with his teammates. He was able to remain in the game and fortunately appears to be ok.
