San Francisco 49ers rookie receiver Dante Pettis has been making waves for what he’s done on the practice field and the team’s first preseason game. But the son of Houston Astros third base coach Gary Pettis is also pretty darn good at swinging the bat, too.
On Tuesday, without anything football-related on the schedule as he awaited his team’s second preseason game against Houston, Pettis got to spend time with his dad. In the process, he also suited up in Astros gear and took part in some batting practice fun.

That’s just pure, raw athletic talent.
Pettis appears to have all the makings of an NFL star receiver. But if he had chosen to follow in his father’s footsteps, something tells us he might have made it playing baseball, too.
