Report: Broncos’ Carlos Henderson suspended one game

Denver Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson’s tenure with the team already seemed in jeopardy. Now, his chance of making the team may be in further danger.

The 23-year-old was suspended one game by the league on Wednesday for violating its substance abuse policy.

Henderson, who remains away from the team due to personal reasons, now faces longer odds of cracking Denver’s 53-man roster. The additions of wide receivers Courtland Sutton DaeSan Hamilton in the 2018 NFL Draft pushed him further down the depth chart.

Now Henderson, a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, will have even more to overcome. It remains to be seen when he will return to the team.
