Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins trolls ESPN over mistake

It’s preseason for everyone. On Thursday night, Washington Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins put his team up 12-3 in the third quarter with a field goal.

ESPN’s notification system let fans know about it, with a “slight” mistake.

Rather than noting Hopkins’ kick was 28 yards, ESPN mistakenly wrote it was a 92-yarder, which of course is an impossible kick. Hopkins must have had someone send him this picture, because on Friday morning he had a bit of fun with it.

For the record, the longest field goal in NFL history to this point is 64 yards, set by Matt Prater back in 2013 while he was a member of the Denver Broncos.
