Packers reportedly shopping WR Randall Cobb

The Green Bay Packers already moved on from one of their mainstays at wide receiver this past spring by releasing Jordy Nelson.

Now, ready to take on Nelson’s new Oakland Raiders squad, this one report from Mike Lombardi of The Ringer indicates that Green Bay is currently shopping fellow pass catcher Randall Cobb.

“I know his name’s being shopped around,” the former NFL general manager said on his podcast. Cobb, 28, is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him put up 66 receptions for 653 yards.

The former Pro Bowler has not topped the 1,000-yard mark since the 2014 season and is set to count $12.72 million against the cap this year.

Lombardi went on to note that he has no idea what the Packers are asking in return for Cobb. But based on his recent lack of production and a relatively high 2018 cap hit, it can’t be too much.
