Cueto’s 2018 season has been very frustrating. Recently, Cueto revealed his elbow would flare up in pain every time he threw the ball.
So far this year, Cueto has managed to appear in just nine games, earning a 3-2 record with an ERA of 3.23 and WHIP of 1.11.
The Giants signed Cueto to a six-year deal back at the end of 2015. He’s currently playing out the third year of that contract, which is wort $130 million.
