Sometimes it’s much better to be lucky than good, which is something Chicago Cubs second baseman Javier Baez can certainly attest to after a faux pas Sunday ended up turning into a double play.
Baez set to field what appeared to be a routine ground ball, but rather than make the play he booted the ball. Thankfully for him, he booted it right to teammate Freddy Galvis, who was able to turn the double play.

Baez is one of the best young players in the game today, without a doubt. This time around, however, he can thank the lucky rabbit in his pocket, rather than his exceptional skill.
