Vince Carter reportedly signs one-year deal with Hawks

Vince Carter is open to signing with the Warriors.

The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly brought in veteran forward Vince Carter, who will sign aone-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who notes the “Hawks want Carter around its young locker room.”

Carter, who was originally a No. 5 overall pick by the Golden State Warriors back in 1998, will play in his 21st NBA season.

During the 2017-18 campaign, Carter appeared in 58 games for the Sacramento Kings. He averaged nearly 18 minutes per contest, going for 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

At this point, it’s clear that Carter just wants to keep playing. Atlanta is in a full-blown rebuild, but so also was Sacramento last season.

Over the course of his illustrious, and arguably Hall of Fame-worthy career, Carter has averaged 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
