Japan were up 2-0 over Belgium. Then it was 2-1 heading into the 74th minute when they gave up a goal that tied the game up.
Then, in the final moments of stoppage time, Japan absolutely blew it. Or, contrarily, Belgium pulled off a brilliant counter. Of course, that all depends on who you’re rooting for, right?
Here’s a look at the magnificent game-winner.

It was a historic moment, too.
#BEL is the 1st team in #WorldCup history to trail by 2+ goals in the 2nd half of a Knockout Stage match and come back to win in regulation. https://t.co/nKb3hgfktw

Belgium went the length of the field in under 10 seconds to score the game-winning goal, eliminating Japan and sending Twitter into a frenzy.
Wow. Entire length of pitch in probably 8 seconds. Minimal touches. Courtios altertly starts the break quickly. What a dummy run to set up the tap in

Cruel on Japan but if they had to lose, might as well be to a goal of that quality. The counter attacking was pure perfection. Should be saved and taught to kids every single day of their football education ##BELJPN #BEL #JPN #WorldCup

Tip of the cap to Japan and Belgium. Both went all out for victory. No time wasting to take game into ET or PK's, many will label it naive but footballistically it was a breath of fresh air. That was a legit all time WC classic..#BELJPN pic.twitter.com/hqIy5vUkrL
