One of the NFL’s most talented safeties, Kam Chancellor, announced he’s played his last game of football in an emotionally charged message shared from his Twitter account Sunday.
Chancellor opened up about how the final test on his neck, which caused him to end his 2017 season early, showed no signs of healing. He also asked for prayers due to the head injuries he’s suffered over the years.
His former peers around the NFL reacted on Twitter as well. And the overwhelming message sent back to Chancellor was one of ultimate respect.

.@KamChancellor by all accounts and everything I know about him is the perfect pro in terms of how he plays the game on the field and lives life off of it. If this is indeed the end of his time on the field, I salute you young man. All love and respect. #seahawks #nfl
