LOOK: News Cavaliers player doesn’t have much confidence in his team

After being dealt from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Isaiah Thomas deal last season, veteran big man Channing Frye has returned to Cleveland on a one-year contract.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for a player in Frye who earned an NBA title with the Cavaliers back in 2016. But with LeBron James now in Los Angeles, the 35-year-old center won’t be chasing a ring with the Cavaliers.

He made clear to say just that in an Instagram post announcing his return to Cleveland. And it’s just brilliant.

“Fan: Get ready to take us to the finals again.

Frye: Way to(o) early too be drinking, lol.”

There’s nothing better than a player trolling his team’s fans mere minutes after signing with the squad. Frye has always been an odd character. That certainly didn’t change here.

Following the departure of James, Cleveland’s championship odds absolutely plummeted. So instead of Frye chasing a ring, he’ll be going after that $2.4 million paycheck this coming season. Good on him.
