On Friday, Manny Machado will make his debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Before the game, he posted a heartfelt farewell post to the Baltimore Orioles and their fan base.
The 26-year-old, who was drafted No. 3 overall in the 2010 MLB Draft by Baltimore, thanked the organization, city and fans for his time with the organization.
It represents the end of an era for Baltimore, but it’s great to see Machado write this post and show how much passion he had for everyone who helped and supported him along the way.
The move to a new organization will present a change for Machado, but it’s a great opportunity for him to help be a difference maker for the Dodgers and potentially help push them to the World Series.
