Jaguars’ Leonard Fournette reporting to camp in ridiculous shape

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette

Second-year Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is hoping to take his game to the next level after a stellar initial season in the NFL.

If Fournette’s weight heading into camp is any indication, opposing AFC South defenses should be very concerned.

The former first-round pick is reporting to camp at his lowest weight (223 pounds) since he was playing high school football.

Considered a bruising, between-the-tackles runner, any added athleticism and speed to Fournette’s game could set him up for a monster 2018 campaign.

Recent photos heading into camp show Fournette being extra slim as he prepares for his second season in Jacksonville.

Having put up 1,342 total yards and 10 touchdowns last season, Fournette is already one of the game’s best young backs. His new frame should help the former LSU standout improve on the 3.9 yards per rush he averaged a season ago.

In turn, it could make Jacksonville unstoppable after the team earned a surprise appearance in the AFC Championship Game last season. It’s certainly something worth monitoring this summer.
