WATCH: Vlade Divac calls his Kings a ‘super team’

It certainly seems that Sacramento Kings general manager Vlade Divac is taking a break from reality. Following what was a less-than-inspiring 2018 NBA Draft for the long downtrodden franchise, Divac took to the media.

Much like all the other decision makers around the Association, Divac attempted to put a positive spin on his roster. Though, that positive attitude was quickly replaced with a questionable break from the real world.

That’s definitely one way to put it. Give Sacramento a few years, and this organization might prove its relevance once more.

Even then, to use regular season wins over the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors as a way to conclude your 27-win squad is in fact a “super team” is about as ridiculous as it gets.

Here’s an organization that has not played postseason basketball since the 2005-06 season. How much have things changed around the Association since Sacramento was relevant? Well, Kings rookie No. 2 overall pick Marvin Bagley III was six years old and the league MVP during that season was none other than current Warriors consultant Steve Nash.
