Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz hosted several teammates and members from the organization on hand for the inaugural Carson Wentz AO1 Foundation Charity Softball Game on Friday at Citizens Bank Park. The biggest highlight was team owner Jeffrey Lurie participating in the home-run derby.
Lurie joined kicker Jake Elliott, tight end Richard Rodgers, left guard Stefen Wisniewski, defensive lineman Fletcher Cox, center Jason Kelce and several other players in the competition.
It’s impressive enough to see the 66-year-old take hacks with a baseball bat numerous times, but Lurie even displayed some incredible power given his age.

While Lurie didn’t leave the yard, he still found a way to leave fans in attendance excited for the upcoming season.

In the end, it was all for a great cause with money from the ticket sales going to the AO1 foundation, which seeks to help support Philadelphia youth through providing service dogs to assist with their development; to provide shelter, food and education opportunities to underprivileged youth and to offer hunting and outdoor opportunities for individuals with physical challenges, life threatening illnesses or U.S. vets living in the Midwest.
