WATCH: Dodgers start Sunday’s game with back-to-back home runs

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts

Lead-off home runs are pretty sweet. They get the game started on the most positive of notes for the team that strokes them. So with that in mind, what the Los Angeles Dodgers did to open Sunday’s game against the New York Mets was pretty special.

Enrique Hernandez blasted a lead-off homer to get the scoring started. One batter later, Max Muncy made it 2-0 with a solo shot of his own as the Dodgers began the contest with back-to-back home runs.

It doesn’t get a lot sweeter than this.

Of course, as awesome as this was for the Dodgers, Mets fans can tell you this start is just more of the same. It’s been a miserable season for New York and its fans, who must be getting awfully tired of watching their team tank.
