The Golden State Warriors took home the 2018 NBA Finals and dismantled the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-85 in what might have been LeBron James final game with Cleveland.
In a game that became a pure battle for the rights to the Finals MVP award between Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, it was the 30-year-old point guard who made the difference and sealed his third championship.
Curry scored 37 points and made seven three-pointers in the win on Friday night. Durant finished second on the team in scoring and recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
Golden State once again went on a run in the third quarter and outscored the Cavaliers 25-13 to give the Warriors a 21-point lead as they headed into the fourth quarter. It proved to be far too much for Cleveland to overcome in the 23-point blowout loss.

The Warriors season ending with a championship and a Nick Young air ball is oddly poetic

Three in four years. Not many franchises in any sport have done this, and the Warriors could get more.

There are going to be so many dumb and disingenuous takes on LeBron James's legacy in the next 96 hours and beyond.
