Trae Young, Lonnie Walker IV sign with Adidas

Trae Young and Lonnie Walker are prepared to hear their names called in the 2018 NBA draft, but they’re also ready to cash a check from Adidas.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the Oklahoma and Miami guards have signed endorsement deals with Adidas.

During the 2017-18 season, Young became the first player to lead Division 1 in both points and assists. Walker made several clutch shots while leading Miami to its third straight NCAA tournament bid.

Adidas missed out on a couple of marquee talents in the 2018 draft class, but Young and Walker are both potential lottery picks.

They join a growing list of incoming rookies with shoe deals. Puma leaped back into basketball with a massive deal for Marvin Bagley III, also signing Deandre Ayton and Zhaire Smith. Luka Doncic has an existing contract with Nike.
