Thunder had an odd request for Jaren Jackson Jr. in interview

Jaren Jackson Jr. will soon be a professional basketball player, but the Oklahoma City Thunder apparently think he should be a salesman, too.

According to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated, representatives from the Thunder asked Jackson to sell them a pen during an interview at the NBA combine. It’s something straight out of a movie.

The request is the final scene in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” a movie based on the life of Jordan Belfort.

To our knowledge, though, Jackson does not sell penny stocks. Rather, the Michigan State product is poised to make a living grabbing rebounds and blocking shots.

In his lone college season, the 6’11” forward posted 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. He shot 39.6 from three-point range, too.

Fortunately for Jackson, unless the Thunder make a surprising trade on draft night, he won’t be adding salesman to his business card.
