Rob Gronkowski will be ‘full go’ at mandatory minicamp

Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski has missed all official team activities since Super Bowl LII, but he’s ready to rejoin the New England Patriots. The superstar tight end confirmed that he’ll be at the team’s upcoming mandatory minicamp.

“We’ve got mandatory minicamp this week,” Gronkowski said, per CBS Boston. “So I’ll be there this week. I’ll be full go. I’m looking forward to it. Can’t wait to get back to work. I’m excited.”

It’s been a full offseason for Gronkowski.

Immediately after losing the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, Gronk made it known that he wasn’t sure if he’d return in 2018. He didn’t make the decision to return until late-April, closing out nearly three months of rampant speculation. After Gronkowski announced his return, it was reported that he and New England were working towards a new contract.

In 14 games last season, Gronkowski caught 69 balls for 1,084 yards with eight touchdowns. He added 16 receptions for 218 yards and three touchdown in a trio of postseason games.
