Report: Clippers, Celtics aggressively trying to move into top 10 of NBA Draft

NBA Draft

The lead up to the NBA Draft is always ripe with rumors about what teams want to do, and who they’re trying to target.

One of those rumors circulating right now is that the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics are both aggressively trying to move up into the top 10, per Ryan Russillo of ESPN.

That the Clippers want to move up isn’t all that shocking considering they really need to hit a home run in this draft. With that being said, moving up into the top 10 might not be enough for Los Angeles, which likely should stand pat (owning the No. 12 and 13 picks already) or move into the top five to make a real impact.

Boston has been super aggressive under the leadership of Danny Ainge in recent years, so it’s not surprising that he’d be interested in making a bold play for another top rookie. As things currently stand, Boston has the No. 27 overall pick.

It’s going to be fascinating to see what transpires before the draft takes place on Thursday night.
