NFL releases top selling jerseys of offseason

Tom Brady has an eternal place on the NFL’s list of best-selling gear, but rising stars dominate the list of jerseys bought over the offseason so far.

The NFL released the top 24, and Brady has a place at No. 4. Three of the seven most popular jerseys, though, are incoming rookies.

Saquon Barkley leads everyone at No. 1, while Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold check in at Nos. 5 and 7, respectively. Josh Allen (16) and Lamar Jackson (22) made the overall list, as well.

Near the top at No. 2 is Jimmy Garoppolo, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback entering his first season as a full-time starter. Garoppolo checks in one spot ahead of Carson Wentz, who isn’t the only Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller on the list.

Nick Foles has climbed to No. 6 following his three-touchdown effort in Super Bowl LII. Marcus Mariota, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott round out the top 10.

One interesting inclusion is Jason Witten, who retired from the Dallas Cowboys this offseason yet has the 11th-most popular jersey.

Witten will no longer step onto the field as a player, but his “82” certainly isn’t vanishing from the seats anytime soon.
