LOOK: Enes Kanter hilariously announces he’s returning to the Knicks

It was reported earlier on Friday that New York Knicks center Enes Kanter had opted into his contract for the 2018-19 season, a decision that will pay the veteran $18.62 million.

It goes without saying that Kanter is a happy camper. Who wouldn’t be?

The always hilarious Turkish showed that and a whole lot more in pretty much announcing that he is in fact returning to the Big Apple. It came via Twitter. And it was all sorts of glorious.

Making the Knicks great again is certainly something that most of the NBA world can get behind. It’s not divisive. It’s simply better for the Association. Whether Kanter can actually do that remains to be seen. But at least, he has a unicorn working with him. That never hurts.

Acquired from Oklahoma City last summer in the Carmelo Anthony trade, the 26-year-old Kanter averaged 14.1 points and 11.0 rebounds for the Knicks in 2017-18.
