Janoris Jenkins’ brother is reportedly person of interest in murder case

When news broke on Tuesday that a body was found in the basement of Janoris Jenkins’ New Jersey home, it threw many around the sports world for a loop.

In Florida at the time of Roosevelt Rene’s death, Jenkins’ lawyers recommended that he remain there instead of returning to his Jersey home. In no way did this mean that the New York Giants’ cornerback was a suspect.

Instead, it’s now being reported by TMZ Sports that Jenkins’ brother, William, is a person of interest in the murder of Rene.

“William Jenkins is a person of interest in relation to dead body case at his brother’s house,” Ontario County NY District Attorney James Ritts told the gossip rag.

William, 34, was arrested earlier in Tuesday morning on a separate parole violation charge. His arrest came about eight hours before Rene’s body was found.

The DA also told TMZ Sports that there will be an extradition process to bring the older Jenkins from Ontario to Bergen County, NJ — where the murder occurred.
