Former Patriots player puts team’s fans and city on absolute blast

Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

It doesn’t look like San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Cassius Marsh is going to back down from his prior comments calling out the New England Patriots’ organization.

If you remember, Marsh made news earlier this offseason when he indicated that he hated playing for the Patriots.

“They don’t have fun there. There’s nothing fun about it. There’s nothing happy about it. I didn’t enjoy any of my time there, you know what I’m saying?” Marsh told the San Francisco Chronicle’s Eric Branch. “It made me for the first time in my life think about not playing football because I hated it that much.”

Having played with New England for part of the 2017 season after being acquired from Seattle, the defensive end is now calling out both Patriots fans and the entire city of Boston.

That’s savagery on full display right there. Obviously, Marsh had issues with the Patriots’ culture and the way the team used him under head coach Bill Belichick. Since his initial comments, Marsh has received push back by those within the organization and fans alike.

While Belichick’s coaching style might not be for everyone, his success is rather clear. Now in San Francisco, Marsh has turned his career around. Maybe it’s time for him to simply move on from this.

That’s apparently not about to happen.
