The Dallas Cowboys have indicated publicly that they plan on rewarding young quarterback Dak Prescott with a lucrative long-term extension at some point. Though, it’s a common belief that the team wants to see him overcome sophomore struggles this coming season.
If that’s the case, a contract stalemate could be looming between the two sides here soon. If so, Prescott has already shown his hand.
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) announced that Prescott has switched his representation over to the hard-hitting firm from the lesser known Louisiana-based ProSource firm.
Excited to announce we will now represent Dak Prescott. Welcome to the CAA family, @dak ! #CAAFootball #BeLegendary pic.twitter.com/tqELUUADiV

CAA’s collection of NFL talent includes former MVPs Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning as well as stars such as Drew Brees, Aaron Donald, J.J. Watt, Philip Rivers and Julio Jones.
This is clearly a power move from Prescott as he and the Cowboys embark on long-term contract negotiations moving forward.
