WATCH: LeBron James putting in early work before Game 2

The Boston Celtics dismantled the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-83 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and LeBron James is looking to help his squad avoid what would be a problematic 2-0 series deficit.

Tuesday morning, “The King” headed to TD Garden for a workout prior to Cleveland’s shootaround. ESPN’s Rachel Nichols shared a video.

James managed 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting in Game 1, during which the Cavs scored only 35 points before halftime. Boston, on the other hand, tallied 36 in the first quarter alone and 61 in the half.

Cleveland trimmed the Celtics’ 26-point halftime lead to 14 by the end of the third quarter, but a 7-0 spurt to begin the final frame effectively sealed Boston’s blowout win. LeBron isn’t panicked or concerned, but he knows the Cavs’ margin for error is thin.

After all, the team shot a paltry 4-of-26 from beyond the arc, which included an 0-5 mark by LeBron. He also committed seven of the team’s nine turnovers.

Perhaps a little bit of extra practice will get James and the Cavs back to their winning ways. Game 2 is slated for an 8:30 p.m. ET tip.
